Pope Benedict Announces Year for Priests
Pope Benedict chose today, Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, to initiate “Year for Priests”. Bishop Blaire has sent a letter to all priests in our Diocese to commemorate and reflect on this year’s celebration. To read Bishop Blaire’s letter, please click here. With the announcement of the “Year for Priests”, the Pope has declared Saint John Vianney the Universal Patron of Priests on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the death of the Curé d’Ars. Bishop Blaire is celebrating his 10th Anniversary as Bishop of our Diocese by holding Fireside Chats throughout the Diocese. People are invited to gather from 6:30 to 7:00. Prayer and the event itself will begin at 7:00. All are welcome!
