On the 12th of October, the Church acknowledged and celebrated an important Eucharistic Missionary Disciple: Blessed Carlo Acutis who died on October 12, 2006, in Monza, Italy.
Blessed Carlo is: “a young man on his way to canonization. His plainspoken wisdom belies the brevity of his life: ‘To be always close to Jesus, that’s my life‘s plan.’ ‘The Eucharist is my highway to heaven.’ ‘The Rosary is the ladder to climb to heaven.’ This teenager has a lot to teach about simplicity and the desire for holiness.” (Catholic 101)
May this teenager be a model for us during this time of the Eucharistic Revival. May we approach the True Presence of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament in a spirit of simplicity of heart.
