A Message From Bishop Cotta
Dear Friends in Christ,
As I travel across our Diocese, I am truly inspired by the faith of the people I meet in our parishes. It is amazing to see the love they have for their parish, and I am incredibly grateful for everything they do to build a strong community of faith. Each person has an incredible story of faith to share.
Our faith community is a precious gift from the devoted families who came before us. Our parishes, Catholic schools, and faith formation programs and ministries would not exist if it were not for the vision and sacrifice of those who came before us. Today, we are called to renew our mission and vision as a larger faith community in the Diocese of Stockton. I kindly ask you to consider joining me in making this significant endeavor a success.
Jesus calls each of us to follow Him. This ongoing call invites us to consider how we can better build the Kingdom of God in our families, our Church, and our world. The Called and Sent campaign takes up this call and invites each of us to:
• Ensure a vibrant and sustainable future for our parishes.
• Support men who are responding to God’s call to serve as priests.
• Provide for our priests who have retired from active ministry.• Reimagine how we evangelize and form people in the faith, especially our youth and young adults.
A successful campaign will not only provide immediate support but will also continue to build our Church for the next generation and beyond. Thank you for your prayers and financial support.

Campaign Prayer
O God Almighty Father, You abundantly shower generous blessings upon us as a Diocese.
In Jesus, your beloved Son, you have called and sent each one of us to be your missionary disciples to love, build, and serve your Church, the Church for Tomorrow.
Inspire us to strengthen our parishes by promoting vocations; supporting priests in retirement; and evangelizing our youth and young adults.
Through your Holy Spirit, open the hearts of your faithful people to be generous stewards in sharing their gifts and talents for the good of the Church.
Throughout this Called and Sent campaign, in your goodness and love, O Lord, “give success to the work of our hands.” (Psalm 90:17)
Our Lady of the Annunciation, Our Patroness, and Mother of the Church, pray for us.
