Director, School of Ministry


The Diocese of Stockton is seeking a full-time Director. This position is responsible for the development and administration of the diocesan-sponsored and USCCB accredited School of Ministry. This school is a bi-lingual program which provides ministerial, theological, sacramental and pastoral courses that consist of basic and advanced core courses as well as specialized courses for adults interested in a particular ministerial area of focus.


This position is an extension of the Bishop’s Ministry. The incumbent must have a willingness and ability to support the Mission of the Universal and Local Roman Catholic Church.


Qualifications include: Registered, participating member of a Catholic parish faith community; Master’s Degree in Education, Religious Education, or related field; self-starter and resourceful person with excellent written and oral communication skills; competence developing and implementing classes using adult models of learning; parish ministry or service experience; high level of organization. Bilingual (English-Spanish) is desired but not required.

Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Stockton is seeking to fill a full-time MSSP Supervising Care Manager position.  Under the direction of the Site Director, the SCM is responsible for planning, organizing, developing and implementing the principles and techniques employed in a comprehensive care management model for the frail elderly.  The SCM position combines both administrative duties and clinical supervision responsibilities.  Requirements include: A Master’s degree in social work, nursing, psychology, counseling, rehabilitation, gerontology, or sociology.  Minimum of one year Supervisory experience. Minimum of two years’ experience working with the aging population (65 years and above). Minimum of one year care management experience. Knowledge of services available to seniors in the community. Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills. Must be able to occasionally work non-traditional hours, overtime, and travel as needed for trainings and conferences.
