Diocesan Resource Representative

 

Diocese of Stockton has a full-time exempt position serving as a liaison between the Pastors and the Diocesan Pastoral Center. The DRR assists the pastors and the parishes by facilitating needed services, resources and training identified by the parish for its pastoral planning, particular ministries, and engagement in the parish centered model of the Diocesan AS ONE Project.

Qualifications include: Self-starter and resourceful person with excellent written and oral communication skills and parish/diocesan ministry or service experience. Administrative Assistant – Offices for Worship, Music, Christian Initiation (RCIA) and Life and Dignity.

 

This position provides administrative and logistical support to two directors in the Diocesan Pastoral Center: the Office for Worship, Music and Christian Initiation (RCIA), and Office for Life and Dignity. Candidates should have competence in producing reports, managing electronic and paper files, creating files, brochures and programs, and working with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Word, Excel and Publisher), Experience with Adobe InDesign and Photoshop preferred.  The ideal candidate will be an active member of a Catholic parish with a commitment to the mission of the Church, and be available for occasional night/weekend events. Bi-lingual, English/Spanish preferred. This is a fast paced role that supports the ongoing, daily tasks of office management as well as large and small events that take place throughout the year (at least 10 per year). Attention to detail and the ability to focus on the task at hand in an open office environment are critical for success.  This is a non-exempt, part-time position (21 hours per week).

SEAPA Coordinator

 

Catholic Charities has an immediate opening for the position of SEAPA Coordinator (30 hours per week, plus benefits).  This position coordinates the Stanislaus Elder Abuse Prevention Alliance (SEAPA), a collaborative county-wide effort to prevent Elder Abuse.  The Coordinator develops, plans and executes elder abuse training programs, workshops, and events to increase awareness of elder abuse and its prevention.  This includes working with many community partner agencies, maintaining existing relationships, and developing new ones.  The Coordinator must be proficient in Word, Excel and general internet use.  Desired qualification:  Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Social Services, Communications or related field; 2-3 years successful work experience in a Social Service Organization; demonstrated interest and ability to advocate and work on behalf of older adults; excellent verbal and written communication skills; and a demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple projects.  Please submit resume to HRcatholiccharities@ccstockton.org by 12-7-18.
