Relationships

   
    The Vicar for Priests will take the initiative to consult regularly with the Diocesan Bishop regarding the welfare of the priests of the Diocese. He will be available to the Bishop for advice and consultation about matters affecting the Presbyterate as a whole or individual priests.
     
    The Vicar for Priests will be a consultant to the Diocesan Presbyteral Council.
     
    The Vicar for Priests will be an ex officio member of the Priests' Personnel Board. He will present applications from priests applying to minister in the diocese, participate in the planning for the distribution and assignments of priests, participate in the business of the Board and consult with the Board Chairman to set agenda for the meetings.
     
    The Vicar for Priests will collaborate with the Director of ongoing Formation in seeing to the enhancement of the pastoral leadership of the priests of the diocese.
     
    The Vicar for Priests will maintain contact with the diocesan Deans and assist them in their ministry as needed.
     
    The Vicar for Priests will maintain contact with the diocesan ministerial staff and serve as a resource for that staff in those matters affecting its relationship with the Presbyterate. He will attend and participate in the Collaborative Ministry Meeting each month.
