There are many questions that arise in regard to the liturgy. Below are many of our Diocesan Liturgical Policies and Norms. If you have questions that are not answered by these specific policies, please email the Liturgy & Worship office, or call (209)466-0636. It is expected that within the Diocese of Stockton, all liturgies follow the norms put forth in the most current editions of the rites for each of our sacramental celebrations, as well as the Code of Canon Law. In addition, the practice of Eucharistic Adoration is governed by the ritual book Holy Communion and Worship of the Eucharist Outside of Mass.
Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. Matthew 28: 19-20

When the time for Pentecost was fulfilled, they were all in one place together. And suddenly there came from the sky a noise like a strong driving wind, and it filled the entire house in which they were. Then there appeared to them tongues as of fire, which parted and came to rest on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in different tongues, as the Spirit enabled them to proclaim. Acts 2:1-4
‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together, no human being must separate. Matthew 19: 4-6
