Established after the conclusion of the Synod of 2006, the Diocesan Pastoral Council is composed of Christian faithful who in full communion with the Catholic Church-clerics, members of institutes of consecrated life, and laity – selected by a method determined by the Bishop. This council is a consultative body that studies and reflects on pastoral matters and makes recommendations to the Bishop in response to the Diocesan Synod and other significant issues.
On January 14, 2017, Bishop Stephen E. Blaire and the Diocesan Pastoral Council (DPC) presented the workshop Cultivating Family Life through the Sacraments. At the request of the participating representatives from the Parish Pastoral Councils (PPCs), the written materials of the day are attached. All may be duplicated or modified by a parish.
