7 Ways You Can Fight Human Trafficking:
- Post the National Human Trafficking hotline – put the number 1 (888) 373-7888 in your phone and post flyers with the hotline at church or work with local businesses to post.
- Download the Traffickcam app – take pics of your hotel room whenever you travel to help law enforcement identify trafficking victims.
- Reject Porn – porn creates demand for trafficking and there is no way to prove consent in scenes.
- Support foster, homeless, and at-risk youth – become a CASA, mentor, help out at a group home, or get creative
- Encourage ethical trade – buy clothes, chocolate, coffee and other goods that are certified free trade or from companies that hire trafficking survivors
- Support Anti-Trafficking Organizations – donate, host a drive for items or volunteer
- Sign up for Catholic Advocacy Network – advocate against trafficking
