Ministry Formation Courses

For school year 2024-25, the Basic Theology for Ministry (BTM) is offered online and in person.  Online classes are offered through the University of Dayton's Virtual Learning Community for Faith Formation (VLCFF) and the in-person classes are organized by the School of Ministry in one of the parishes in the Diocese. Scroll down to pre-register (see form below).

The Advanced Theology for Ministry (ATM) course is offered online through the VLCFF.  The Basic Theology for Ministry (BTM) course is a pre-requisite for this course.

Advanced Theology for Ministry (ATM) Course Schedule

Tuition fees are paid to Dayton University after registering and before the start of a Cycle.  The cost for a 5-week course is $50.  The cost of a 3-week course/seminar is $40.  To receive information on how to register at Dayton for these courses fill out the pre-registration below.

Participants are asked to pre-register through the Diocesan School of Ministry Office before registering for a course whether the courses are online through Dayton or in-person through the diocese.
