This is an intense scripture study program. The scriptures will be examined by taking into account the literary context, the historical context, and the social and rhetorical context. |

Why participate? |
This course: – Helps Catholics become more familiar and comfortable with reading the Bible. – Leads you into a deeper understanding of the Catholic Church’s interpretation of scripture. – Assists Catholics in speaking about the Bible with others. |

When? | A course year begins in September. Each course year consists of three units. The focus of each course year is as follows: Course Year One: Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy, Genesis, Joshua, Judges, 1 & 2 Samuel, and 1 & 2 Kings. Course Year Two: Mark, Luke, Acts, Pauline Letters, John, Johannine Letters, and Revelation. Course Year Three: Amos, Hosea, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Ezra, Nehemiah, Chronicles, Joel, Malachi, and Psalms. Course Year Four: Proverbs, Job, Ecclesiastes, Sirach, Wisdom, Jonah, Daniel, Ester, Judith, Maccabees, Matthew, Pauline Pastorals, Catholic Epistles, and Hebrews. |

What is the cost? |
The cost of this course is $120.00 per unit ($360 for an entire course year), this includes books. No payment needed beforehand. We will discuss payment options at the Orientation. |

This course will start on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at 6:30 pm via Zoom. There will be an Orientation for returning students on Wednesday, August 31, 2022. Pre-register or call the office to receive a link to the Zoom Orientation for this course by Wednesday, August 24, 2022. You will need to pick up your books and materials prior to the orientation and/or first session.
